Emerson-Hubbard Food Pantry

The Emerson–Hubbard Food Pantry feeds households in the Emerson-Hubbard School District that are suffering from food insufficiency. They have two food distributions each month for anyone who is in need of food. At the present time, they supply 30 to 35 boxes at each distribution.

Special food boxes are also given to families that may need food because of an emergency situation. In addition, the pantry also provides the food for the local school's backpack program–packing 30 backpacks each week to ensure that students in the program have food in the household over the weekend.

A note from Emerson employees on why they chose to support the Emerson-Hubbard Food Pantry...
Emerson Branch picked the Emerson-Hubbard Food Pantry as our charity because food insecurity and poverty are not the same. Food insecurity exists in rural areas as well as large cities, and in order for children to build healthy minds and bodies, they must have proper nutrition. The Emerson-Hubbard Food Pantry connects local families with the resources to help. This charity is important because statistics show hunger affects countless Americans every year. We wanted to help those families in our community who are living in food insecure households.
